Order necro - IWAY question
Hi there,
Just a few questions about the order necro in an IWAY party:
I played it a few times now and it is kinda boring. Just standing at the starting point, spamming order of the vampire and order of pain. Healing myself with healing breeze and blood renewal and healing the party slightly with heal party. Sometimes no enemy is coming for me (and we win). Ususally, someone is after me and I die fast. So, Where do you stand as order necro? Just at the starting point? Or do you run around in the outer perimeters? For the orders (and heal party) to be effective you need to have your team on your radar. If you move a lot, the enemy team can spot your dot. If you stand still maybe your dot is perceived as a spirit. (Of course, if I was the opposing party I would ctrl-search the screen for a necros...) I don't know. Please advice.
Another question is about the build I use. I read about dark fury, which I will sub in somewhere. So my build basically looked like this:
Order of the vampire (E)
Order of pain
Blood renewal
Healing breeze
Heal party
Succor (kinda useless, cuz I thought I could cast it on myself...can be Dark Fury)
Unholy feast (can be be Dark fury)
Res. signet/Ressurect/Restore life
Attributes are: blood 16, heal 12, SR 7 (cannot check it now)
Weapon: blood staff with wrap of enchant +20% duration and +30 health head; 20/20 faster recharge/cast
Is this a suitable order build? I think the purpose of an order nec is to spam orders. You can only do so if you have enough energy and health. Health: you can slightly control it with healing spells and blood renewal. Energy: you can gain it with soul reaping. I am not sure what the range is for soul reaping though.
Also, why do IWAY teams want a tainted necro? Its only useful if yo counter melee teams, so basically it is anti-IWAY. What point do I miss here?
I would appreciate constructive critiques. Thank you!

iway tainter.. of course spams tainted flesh...posion on melee attacks..and makes all people immune to posion..BUT..taints are important..they are running maelstorm or meteor storm..see those clumps of mesmers and monks balling in a ward...you know wut to do..also when theres a body.. use well of suffering, well of profane, and putrid explosion..renders everything.
i never played order..to scared seeing how fragile they can get..some people bring like protective spirit..or aegis or something.. but the guy was 55 HP...and happend to live.. but i still dont trust that kinda of 55 HP necro.. maybe the skill he was using.

yes i scared u cause i told u is worst then monking it.
instead of succor u could take healing seed or dark fury. u can keep unholy feast just look for something that heals u. in an IWAY group u are the main target and i mean main. u also are killing urself in the process so be careful at wat u do. try to maintain urself alive with the heal area and stay away from ur team, but still in their radius. so that if u do die ur team already has taken a big part of the other team. also if u see natures, get away from it. even if it is from ur own team. as long as u stay in the radius. bring more healing spells if u can. blood renewal aint too trusty since it does take a big chunck of ur health and then u can get spiked b4 it ends.

orders only effect ppl in ur radar area if u cant see an ally on it they wont get the benifit of the order.also when I tend to run order I usually take rigor and mark of pain place them on a target thn drop back and spam. I find its better thn just standing there spamming and healing as u increase the offence of the iway party.

well then u need points in curses and im telling u. u do not want to run in to cast a rigor to a monk and then have the monk easily remove it. first of all u ran out and the group now sees u better and second ur are a fresh target as ur health is a little low. trust me i rather spam healing and let them find me rather than show myself to them as a free target to get killed.

Orders is dull. I've played it for IWAY and for Ranger spike. It's so boring that while the fame farming can be easy, it's less than 200 of my total fame of 1760. OoV, OoP, Blood Renewal, Heal Other, Healing Seed, Heal Party, Healing Breeze, Res. Spam as needed or until dead.

Ok thanks all. Tainted point is clear; its all about the wells and clearing corpses, not so much the tainted flesh. About the order thingie: I guess there is not much to do other than spamming orders and try to stay alive, which is a lot easier if you stay away from the battle. However, a good team will always look and go for the order necro. I cannot take another secundary because I need the healing in order to do my orders (that sounds funny). So, any defense suggestions? Or is it just dead-end? Your team needs to kill the key players/majority of the other team before the order necro is going down?
I appreciate help, especially from people who played order necro themselves.

u really cant defend much as u wont have enough mana for healing and spamming. and as u will have blood & healing to keep ur self going u cant do much. u could try order prot but dont know if that would work.

as for the tainted, he also provides a good aoe spike damage, by using death nova on an almost dead w/r or pet, then putrid when they die. 200+ aoe damage in under 2 secs...

Skills you should bring for Order in Iway group:
Mark of Prot
spellbreaker
guardian
prot spirit
healing touch
reversal of fortune
healing breeze
sheilding hands
sheild of regen
and all other healing and protection skills/spells because as soon as they find out youre Iway they are comming straight for you and the tainted and you'll be killed again just as quick as youre rez'd, this is why I dont play Iway anymore.. tried it once and as soon as we started the other team was like "hi Iway..... bye Iway"

Well guys and girls, thank you very much for your replies. My thoughts are confirmed by your answers: playing an order necro is boring. But, its the only way for me to get into a group for the tombs fast. Unless of course I grab my heal/prot monk...to get ganked by an IWAY-group

Prot monks are not that sought after. Most good teams only allow a prot that they know into their group since a bad prot can screw the whole thing up. My friends list is full of people that whisper me to prot their group. And if I don't know the healers or they can't be vouched for by a member of the group that I respect, I am not protting the team.
Try creating your own builds and play those. Start the group. Get a couple friends you've played with to take up a slot or 2 and get some PUGs. If you make the build, then you can question them about their understanding of their character and rule out the ones that don't know how to play anything but IWAY.
